The Armed Forces Park in Woonsocket is now a reality!

The United Veterans Council of Woonsocket is continuing their fundraising project devoted to the maintenance and enhancement of the Armed Forces Park in Woonsocket. This park is located on a half-acre lot on Davison Avenue in Woonsocket, adjacent to the entrance of the Blackstone River Bikeway and the City’s Rivers Edge Sports Complex.

It is dedicated to the men and women of our community who served our country in times of peace and war, and especially to those who gave their lives in that service.

The park provides a permanent home for the city’s veteran ceremonies and observances, and will be the site of planned future monuments. In addition, plaques at the park will educate visitors about the many veteran monuments and memorials located throughout the city, and will honor the contributions of our community in our nation's wars and conflicts.

 How can you help make this project a great success?

The park includes a beautiful paved brick walkway. You can become a permanent part of this fitting tribute by purchasing a brick in honor/memory of a loved one or in gratitude for the service of our community’s veterans.  Brick prices are as follows:
