Vivian Walker Memorial
Wall Fund
The
John Robert Walker Memorial Oakland First Aid Squad was founded
by Vivian and her husband John Walker in 1954. The Walkers
wanted the OFAS to bear the name of their son, John Robert who
passed away in 1952. Vivian was an active member and treasurer
of the OFAS until her passing in 2009.
To honor Vivian’s memory and her
devotion to the OFAS, volunteers have
built a
Memorial Wall with the help of a
generous donation from Vivian’s son
Richard.
The Memorial will include an area for Vivian’s friends to place
an engraved paver brick in her memory.
To offset the additional funds
necessary to complete the Memorial we invite you to help us to
remember Vivian by purchasing an engraved brick. Depending on
the size of the brick ordered (4x8 or 8x8), each brick will have
space for engraved text, eighteen characters per line (3 lines
for 4x8 and 6 lines for 8x8)
for your customized
message. Every brick and its wording have a lifetime guarantee
to ensure its preservation for generations to come.
A 4x8 brick is $75 and an 8x8 brick is $100. The website will
provide instructions for your message and pre-payment for the
bricks.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED GENEROUS SUPPORT OF THE OFAS!
