Farm Friends' mission is to assist individuals and their families with special challenges by providing suitable workshops, recreational, and therapeutic programs in a peaceful farm setting.

 

We have accomplished many things in a short period of time including our third season hosting Fox Valley Special Recreation groups each Friday. Our volunteer program has grown and gained the consistency needed to sustain programs for years to come. Our primary source of fundraising is to provide a venue for weddings, anniversary parties and company events.  Our beautiful grounds not only provide the backdrop for those fundraising events but provide the playground and place of respite for our guests with developmental disabilities and their families.

 

We are asking for your help for a once in a lifetime opportunity.  We have been invited to partner with the country's premier pond and waterfall builder, Aquascape Inc., to further beautify our grounds.  They have agreed to use our site as a training event for hundreds of contractors at their industry event called Pondemonium.  The end result of the project with Aquascape will be to transform the farm's half acre pond into a water feature that is not only beautiful, but environmentally balanced.  This feature will be the center point for all events to follow as we continue on our mission.  Not only will Farm Friends gain exposure to hundreds of contractors from around the country, but the resulting water fall with allow us to permanently enhance our revenue and provide a sensory experience for our guests.

 

Here is where we need your help; Aquascape has generously agreed to build and fund most of this $140,000 project, but we need to raise $20,000 to offset some of the material cost (primarily for the rock that will be needed to build this amazing feature).  Our deadline for raising this money is July 1, 2015.  We thank you so much for your past support and future consideration.
