On Nov 11, 2024, the Maryland National Guard posthumously commissioned abolitionist Harriet Tubman as a Brigadier General. The honor recognizes her pioneering role as the first woman to lead a U.S. armed military raid during the Civil War. This action corrects a historical oversight, formally acknowledging her as a military leader.
General Tubman is recognized for her service as a scout, spy, and nurse, particularly for organizing the 1863 Combahee River Raid, which liberated over 750 enslaved people.
We invite ALL US Military members to join us in our tribute by adding your personal brick as a forever salute.

PLEASE NOTE: If you add a miniature souvenir brick to your order, the inscription will be identical to the full-size brick that you purchase.
