The City of Thornton Arkansas has never had a Community Center. We have public gatherings at the Fire Station which has inadequate space. We need a social center, a gathering place, where we can come together and celebrate our community spirit. We need a place for Birhtday Parties, Wedding Celebrations, and civic events like the April Hogskin Holiday BBQ or the October Fest/BBQ Cook Off. We plan to build it so it can be used as emergency housing. Some day we hope to add a covered area to use for bands or a Farmer's Market.
Buying a brick helps us reach our goal and it commemorates your family. This can be In Memory of or In Honor of. It can be your name and class year or it can be a military memorial. Bricks will be used for sidewalks. We appreciate your contribution to the Thornton Community Center.
