The Pride Center at Equality Park – Chuck Nicholls and
Mark Turner Garden Plaza at Equality Park

The Pride Center at Equality Park Mission Statement
We provide a welcoming safe space – an inclusive home that celebrates, nurtures, and empowers the LGBTQ+ communities and our friends and neighbors in South Florida.

For the past 30 years, The Pride Center has provided life-saving programs and services that meet our community's distinct socioeconomic, health, spiritual, and safety needs while also being a key site for HIV testing, prevention, education, and counseling. The Pride Center, through the support of Chuck Nicholls and Mark Turner, has now created an outdoor space - a garden plaza where our community can gather together for cultural, educational, and entertainment events. The new garden plaza has several gardens filled with native Florida plants surrounded by paved walkways connecting the Schubert Building with the rest of Equality Park. The centerpiece is the outdoor pavilion on the South side of the Alan Edward Schubert Building which is available for Commitment Ceremonies, Celebrations of Life, and other festive outdoor activities.
