Work on the new parish rectory is moving right along...
If you’ve taken a peek behind St. Joseph Parish—Colbert lately, you’ve
noticed a lovely new structure back there. That is the new parish rectory
quickly taking shape to provide an on-site home for our pastor as well as
additional space that can provide housing for a retired priest and a seminarian.
With $214,000 in proceeds from the sale of the old rectory, $15,000 in cash
donations, plus generously discounted goods and services, and countless hours of
volunteer labor, construction has come a long way since last summer when the
location was just a brushy spot in the woods. But much still remains to complete
this major project including cabinetry, flooring, appliances, lighting,
stonework, and landscaping.
To meet the additional
funding needs for these, St. Joseph Parish—Colbert invites you to become a
permanent part of this project by purchasing a commemorative engraved paver.
This is a great opportunity to pay tribute to a loved one, memorialize an event,
