Help us save the
roller skating rink at Sycamore Springs. The current roof on the roller skating
rink is shot and leaks in many places we are currently placing buckets around
when ever it rains to try to save the floor. The hard maple floor is the
original floor built in 1939 by Noah Edelman. We plan on putting on a foam
rubber roof since this is a dome style roof. There has been shingles and tin
tried but neither have been successful in keeping water out because of the
Design. The foam roof will also insulate the building making it cooler in the
summer and warmer in the winter. The foam roof comes with a 15 year warranty.
The windows in the skating rink are also all shot most are rotten and many of
the glass panes have fallen out. There are 48 windows needing replaced. We have
had many people ask us if they could donate to help save and restore Sycamore
Springs, we are offering you a chance now by buying a brick to be placed in our
new splash park. This brick will have your name on it and will be place where
the picnic area will be located. Other things we may use the money for, new
roller skates, Mini golf repair and other building maintenance Thank You in
advance for all your support in this project.
