After years of dreaming of building a stone labyrinth on the grounds of St.
Matthew’s Episcopal Church, we are pursuing our vision. The labyrinth will be a
place of beauty and peace for the community as well as our congregation.
Labyrinths have appeared in many cultures since ancient times and in Christian
spirituality since the fourth century. Walking a labyrinth can be a meditation,
a spiritual practice, or simply an opportunity to calm the mind and enjoy peace,
quiet and reflection.
A purchase of a commemorative brick in honor or memory of someone will help fund
the project. The bricks will be placed in the walkway leading up to the
labyrinth.
