Since 1906, the sorority that started as Clio and is now known as Phi Kappa Pi has been home away from home for hundreds of young woman from the State University of New York, Potsdam and Clarkson College of Technology. The sorority's current home has been at 58 Elm Street in Potsdam for nearly 50 years. Early in the 1990s, the Alumnae Association purchased the house from the active sorority and has been responsible for it's upkeep since then. Current active sisters pay rent and participate in fundraisers which they contribute to the Alumnae Association. Throughout the year, the association also participates in fundraisers to add to the operating costs of the house.
One of our ongoing fundraisers is a memorial walk. We reach out to alumnae, actives, friends and relatives of Phi Kappa Pi who may want to honor a loved one, a special sister, pledge mistress, pledge class, or special event on an engraved brick that will permanently line the front walk of 58 Elm Street and eventually be the border to a memorial garden in the front yard. If you are interested in purchasing one of these bricks, please follow the instructions on the page.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the association through the contact information listed here.
