Pinellas County Veterans Association

One of the main missions of the Pinellas County Veterans Association is to maintain the reverence of the veterans that came before us. 

The Purple Heart award is the Nation's oldest service medal in history, recognizing a service member that has been wounded or killed in combat.

Creating this memorial park will serve as a permanent place of solace and remembrance to pay respect for those that have paid the ultimate price for the greater good.  

With the immense support from Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor for securing the traditional Purple Heart Memorial and donating it to the PCVA and the town. We are now rising the rest of the funds to break ground and finish the future home of the 84th Purple Heart Memorial in the state of Florida, located in the historic downtown Palm Harbor, Fl directly on the Habor Hall grounds. 

The state of Florida was the 2nd state in the country with Dunedin, FL being the 1st in the state, to be congressionally recognized as a Purple Heart Town. Over the past 20 years, there has been 83 towns recognized as a Purple Heart town. Finishing this Purple heart Park will make Palm Harbor the 84th town in the state.
