Newbury PTA Newbury Legacy Project

Newbury School was built in 1963 and was initially known as Candlewood-Salem Hill Elementary School. In fall of 2024, Newbury School will become an Early Learning Center for preschool aged children that live within our community. Newbury PTA invites all current and previous Newbury School Alumni to purchase a commemorative brick for a lasting reminder of your time at Newbury School. If you were a staff member or student from 1964 to 2024, these bricks will be proudly displayed around the flagpole in the front of the school building. We are giving everyone an opportunity to be a visible part of this Legacy Project. Your brick(s) will become part of the new history at Newbury Elementary School. Every brick has a story, write yours! Your brick(s) will be a place where the past meets the future in a perfectly preserved moment.

Help us build a lasting legacy and spread joy in our community in honor of all who have been a part of the Newbury School community throughout the past 60 years! All proceeds will support the final 5th grade class fundraising efforts.

Engrave, in brick, names you wish to remain as part of Newbury Elementary School's history. Bricks are the standard 4 x 8 brick with black lettering. We will do our best to accommodate your engraving wishes as long as they fit within the boundaries of up to 3 lines with maximum 18 characters per line.

Bricks are available for $45 each.
