Los Pasitos partners with families to nurture and advocate for their child’s development through coaching and modeling in their natural environment so that parents and caregivers can shine while helping their child reach their full potential one tiny step at a time.
When a young child experiences challenges in meeting developmental milestones, it is important that families have the knowledge and support to encourage his or her development, problem-solve issues around everyday routines and activities, and recognize and use their own strengths to reach their goals for their child and family. The professionals of the Los Pasitos Early Intervention Program offer this knowledge and support to families who have children with, or are at risk for, developmental delays.
Los Pasitos in the Community
Los Pasitos strives to be part of the community any chance we get! We have participated in the Walk for Hope, The Buddy Walk, RAWR, storytime at the Roswell Public Library, Purses for The Refuge, packing Back to School Backpacks with the Boys and Girls Club, food and clothing drives, to name a few. We also host a variety of annual events.
We have sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt, a Trick-or-Treat Community Walkthrough, a Christmas Holiday Party, and our largest event, the 2nd Annual “Stepping Out for Children” held every June on the Chaves County Courthouse lawn. The event helps to raise awareness of Early Intervention Services. We feature local agencies, pediatricians, dentist offices, CYFD, CASA, and anyone who serves young children and their families. There is tons of entertainment and fun activities for children and free giveaways for people of all ages every 10 to 15 minutes. Lunch and treats are provided along with developmental screenings for children ages birth to three at no cost!
Your Generosity + Our Action = Making Dreams Reality
All proceeds and contributions from our Brick Campaign will go towards the development of our Children’s Campus. Currently, we have the Little Steps Learning Center, a model inclusive program, that provides childcare and education for children ages 1 to 12. Los Pasitos Early Intervention provides services to families with children ages birth to three with, or who are at risk for, developmental delays. Our dream is to expand our services to support more families and their children to reach their full potential. We are also working towards “closing the gap” and wanting to provide therapeutic services to children above the age of 3 through 21 when they can begin receiving DD Waiver Services through our mother agency, Tobosa Developmental Services. The final piece of the puzzle is for us to create a place where children of our community can come together to learn and play: an environment that is safe, fun, and inclusive of children and families from all walks of life and abilities.
