Focusing on outdoor play, fitness, and emotional well-being, the Go Play Campaign begins with a major renovation of our playground. At Garfield Park Academy, our playground serves a greater purpose. For many of our students, of all ages, outdoor physical activity is a crucial part of their school day and learning.

Our effort has taken on new meaning this year as our school community mourns the loss of Michele Heinz, our school business manager of 14 years. She was a mentor, a friend, an advocate and a cornerstone of our leadership team. Always with a ready smile, Michele loved every student, and was deeply committed to outdoor learning, fitness and play for our students.

Purchase an Engraved Dedication Brick in Michele's honor, or with a family name, student or alumni name and year of graduation, business or organization, or in honor of a favorite teacher or loved one. It’s a great way to leave a legacy at GPA while supporting our new playground campaign.

 Engraved Dedication Bricks are natural gray colored and available in two sizes.
• 4" x 8" Dedication Bricks cost $100 each and can be inscribed with up to 3 lines of 18 characters each.
• 8" x 8" Dedication Bricks cost $200 each and can be inscribed with up to 6 lines with 18 characters each.
• Logos can be included on the Dedication Bricks for an additional setup and engraving fee of $55.
