Franklin County Animal Shelter has been helping homeless animals find their forever families since 1974. We are a small, nonprofit facility, and we provide shelter, food, medical care and lots of love and attention to every animal that comes through our doors.
We rely heavily on grants, business sponsorships, fundraisers and donations from our community to continue doing this work, and we have come to a point of needing to expand. Fundraising for a building addition - which will provide several more dog kennels, medical and holding space - has been a continuous process for at least a year now, and we are at the point of needing to raise approximately $30,000 more to complete the plumbing, purchase kennel doors, stainless steel tables, and more.
This new part of the building is the perfect place for the generous donors to display their commemoration of loved ones, pets, or important dates, for posterity on our outside wall. We are so excited to be able to offer this opportunity to simultaneously help these pets in need, as well as a landmark for each family to see just how much they truly are a part of us, and their support is so appreciated!
