ELCO School District Legacy Barn

The ELCO Legacy Barn will be more than just a structure – it will be a symbol of what can happen when a community comes together to invest in the future. Built by the community through monetary and in-kind donations, for the students of the ELCO community, this barn will serve as a “living classroom” where students won’t just learn about agriculture – they will live it. The barn will bring agriculture to life, connecting knowledge with real-world application and will offer dynamic, hands-on learning that cultivates skill, confidence, and purpose while preparing students to lead in the field and beyond.

The barn represents a unique, student-centered opportunity to provide equitable access to hands-on agricultural education, filling a critical gap for students who want to participate in livestock programs but may lack the resources or space to do so. Beyond supporting student learning, the barn reflects our district’s commitment to innovation, opportunity, and strengthening the connection between school and community. It will serve as a hub for collaboration among local farmers and a gathering place for the broader community, hosting farm tours, student-led workshops, and family-friendly events that bring people together and foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of agriculture.

All bricks purchased will be placed on walkways and the Barn's pavilion. ELCO School District reserves the right to reject engraving purchases.
