The Del Webb Nocatee Association of Veterans and Supporters, a DWN chartered club, has built a memorial that commemorates and recognizes our veterans; past, present and future – for their contributions to the protection of our Nation and her citizens, as well as their contributions to the promotion of freedom throughout the world. It is intended to be a dignified place where our community can hold respectful ceremonies and where individuals may come and reflect.
That vision began to materialize on Veterans Day November 11, 2022, with the dedication of the Veterans Park located at the end of Clear Springs Drive. A bronze plaque announces the park on the entrance post, and on the large flagpole flies the American flag.
We officially dedicated the completed memorial on Memorial Day 2025. The park has a walkway to an elliptical brick pad around the flagpole. Personalized engraved bricks to honor veterans are installed around the memorial. At the wall are placed the service emblems of the Armed Forces. A quote is on a brass plaque at the wall which reads “Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.”
Once your brick is ordered and shipped to the Veterans Club, we will coordinate the placement of the brick at the memorial with you.
