The New England Diamond Gems is one of the longest running and most respected Junior Olympic Fastpitch Organizations in the New England region, developing and helping to send hundreds of athletes to play softball at the collegiate level for 32 years. Based in Southern New Hampshire, our players include girls and young women between the ages of 7 through 23.
We take a great deal of pride in our athletes on and off the softball field. Their growth as young adults, their education, health and mental well-being are top priorities in our organization. Our volunteer coaches are trained and dedicated mentors who genuinely care about each of their players. While wins and losses will always be part of competition, our goal is to develop strong and confident young women through hard work and accountability.
As a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the New England Diamond Gems is in need of your support.
On August 23, 2020, we unexpectedly lost one of our most passionate, committed players as the result of an automobile accident in Milford, NH. Jenna DeAngelis was not only a tremendous player, but also an intelligent, outgoing, fun-loving person loved by her family, friends and teammates.
In Jenna’s memory, the Diamond Gems organization has committed to the construction of the Jenna C. DeAngelis Memorial Softball Field, at 589 Elm St. in her hometown of Milford, NH where future generations of softball players will gather to practice, play, and participate in tournaments we host in her name. In addition to installing a full-size back stop, dugouts and portable outfield fence, we plan to continue efforts of field maintenance and upgrades each season with the help of your brick purchase donation.
We have hosted 24 tournaments throughout the summers of 2020-2025. This year will be the 6th year of the Jenna DeAngelis Memorial Tournament, hosting 10U, 12U, 14U, 18U and 18+ teams from throughout New England. We have used the profits from these tournaments to maintain Jenna’s field, others we utilize for the tournaments as well as make donations to Jenna’s family’s preferred charities The Angel Fund for ALS Research and to the Concussion Legacy Fund , a non-profit organization that Jenna has donated her brain to in an effort to further research on traumatic brain injury and CTE.
This year we are selling memorial bricks to raise funds for further upgrades to Jenna’s field, including much needed infield material, new bases, a score board, batting cage and storage. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to cover these field expenses and upgrades. With your purchase of these bricks, we will be constructing a brick patio behind the back stop to honor and remember our beloved Jenna.
