Chestnut Ridge Christian Church is building an amphitheater next to the Memorial Garden to have an outdoor worship and gathering space. An amphitheater was on our list when we went through our Future Planning before Covid. When we received a generous contribution from Becky and Danny Stanley’s family in 2022, we thought we might be able to make it a reality. Tracy Stanley has designed a terraced amphitheater to be installed between the Memorial Garden and Education Building, replacing part of the hill of junipers. We’ll have three 6-foot-wide terraces, three lighted retaining walls, a paved area for a pulpit, and updated landscaping for that area.

CRCC looks forward to the day when we can hold worship services, picnics, sing-alongs, and other events there. It will also be one more area that we can offer to the community for outdoor ceremonies. CRCC is working to become a Green Chalice Ministry, and creating an outdoor worship area will be a project on that journey, as well.

To raise the additional funds needed, we’re asking for donations for a memorial brick pathway that will connect the sidewalk around the circle drive to the amphitheater. Is there someone you would like to honor by donating a brick in their name? You could honor a friend, family member, teacher, or anyone else in your life.

PROCEEDS: The net proceeds from this fundraiser will be held for the CrossRoads Amphitheater installation, maintenance, and improving the grounds through landscape or hardscape around the amphitheater, the circle drive, and the Memorial Garden.

DONATIONS: We’re offering the 4x8 brick size for a $100 donation. If you’d like to add a symbol or logo to the brick, the donation is $105 (to cover that additional engraving cost).

INSCRIPTIONS: The inscriptions will be in all capital letters. With no symbol, each brick can fit 3 lines, 21 characters per line. With a symbol, the engraving is limited to 3 lines, 18 characters per line. However, the CRCC Tree is limited to 3 lines, 15 characters per line. We’ll review each inscription and let you know if we have any questions.

FUNDRAISING GOAL: Our goal is to raise $10,000, so we hope to have 125 bricks donated!
