HONOR COACH WILLIAM A KREBS, SUPPORT AN EAGLE SCOUT & LEAVE YOUR LEGACY
AT STEPINAC
BUY A BRICK IN HONOR OF COACH KREBS!
Cole Michelini, a life scout from Ardsley Troop 3, is launching a special
fundraising initiative to honor William A. Krebs, as well as to support the
Archbishop Stepinac High School Track program by selling engraved bricks to be
used to build a brick patio to go under the field tent as his eagle project.
This project is meant to honor the memory of William A. Kreb, a beloved coach,
mentor, and Stepinac Hall of Fame member who dedicated over 35 years to shaping
the lives of young men.
Coach Krebs was a former Physical Education and Health Teacher and Track Coach
who joined the Stepinac faculty in 1960. Prior to joining Stepinac, he attended
Fordham University on a full track scholarship before serving in the United
States Army, where he competed on the Brooke Army Medical Center track team and
won the Fourth Army Track Championship in both years. He was inducted into the
CHSAA Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Stepinac Hall of Fame in 1995.
Coach Krebs passed peacefully at the age of 91 on June 3, 2026. He was
predeceased by his wife, Josephine, in 2007. They had three children together.
