Runnemede Mini Parks and Beautification Initative

As Runnemede celebrates our 100th Birthday, the Borough embarks on a new Centennial Mini Park and beautification initative on multiple parcels of Borough owned land. The new Runnemede Garden Club will be responsible for watering and maintaining the parks.
As a Centennial Project that will have a long-lasting effect on Runnemede, we believe it is important enough for our residents that we are requesting that you help us to build our Mini Parks and beautification efforts.

Here is how this will work without raising your taxes. When you donate, it is a one-time gift. You even can get an income tax credit for the donation. On the other hand, if it comes out of our budget, we will need to raise your taxes, and the amount would be the same amount every year. A donation is small price to pay to get new Mini Parks in town.

The first two we expect to be completed by Spring 2027, with other locations to follow:
1. Washington Ave. and Haverford Ave. - a corner property that features benches, trees, a pollinator garden, a place to relax and enjoy the neighborhood.

2. Ninth & Central Aves. behind CVS. This Mini Park will feature 28 Fruit trees, 8 benches, and a pollinator garden. Trees will be trimmed to a maximum of 8 ft. high to cause the fruit to spread out to allow more residents to pick the fruit, especially our wee small ones, disabled and senior neighbors.

• $175 = you get 8”x 8” laser engraved brick with 6 lines, 18 characters per line, including spaces & punctuation.
