The Blue Earth County Historical Society has a BOLD VISION for a BOLD Expansion to TRIPLE the History Center Museum!

The BOLD Vision and first BOLD Step were announced in 2021. The first BOLD Step was the acquisition of 526 S. 5th Street. We bought the property in August 2023 thanks to History Heroes like you! The Next BOLD Step will be exterior improvements in 2024 utilizing that newly acquired property.
Project includes:
- Replacement of the 30+ year old parking lot surface and infrastructure.
- Improved accessibility with additional parking near building, new entrances and new sidewalk along the building
- Improved security with installation of lights to illuminate the parking lot
- Beautification Projects - Pollinator Plantings, Bike Racks, Public Art, Outside Gathering Space with Memorial Brick Patio, plus new Monument Sign on Warren Street.
Project Estimate: $300,000

These commemorative bricks are a fun and unique way to memorialize your family name, organization, or business in Blue Earth County history and support the Society’s important mission to preserve, protect and share our local history. The bricks will be placed in the new Blue Earth County History Center patio and funds will support the overall NEXT BOLD STEP project as well as other future capital improvement projects.
