is home to the early childhood education program
run by the Hopedale Public Schools. We are a preschool serving approximately 95
students from ages 2.9 to 6. While the majority of our students reside in
Hopedale, we do educate many students from nearby towns as well.
Our current
playground was constructed over 20 years ago when our building was still serving
students of older ages. The structures are not only out of date but one of the
main structures is designed for children 5 and up so the majority of our
students are not able to use it. In addition, our playground equipment is not
handicap accessible which can impact our special education population. Physical
play and gross motor development are major pieces of preschool learning and
development. Countless studies have shown the importance of physical
play and movement in early childhood curriculum. We want our children
to have an outdoor space that is inclusive and designed for their enjoyment as
children and success as students.
Please join us as we
undertake our playground renovation project in hopes of creating a safer, more
accessible, and more FUN play area for our students. This
process takes an enormous amount of resources but will pay off for years to
come. We are asking our current families, past families, friends, and community
members to consider donating towards our playground.
Each donor will receive a
commemorative brick that will be placed in the new playground walkway.
Funds from our Buy-a-Brick fundraiser will go directly towards purchasing
playground equipment and other materials to create a new playground for BBC.
Over the years the
Bright Beginnings Center has greatly benefited from enthusiastic and generous
family and community support. We are incredibly grateful for this support and we
look forward to improving our outdoor play area to best meet the needs of
Hopedale's youngest students.
