The Going Green Foundation is committed to operating a local “Community Farm” to provide food that is grown within a reasonable distance from where it is eaten. This concept ensures that the food is delivered and consumed fresh by low income residents who lack other resources for fresh foods. This Community Farm will be a key resource to ensuring economic, environmental, and social and community sustainability by providing immediate access to foods that can be used to sustain the community. This Community Farm will also produce a seasonal “Farmers Market” and establish and facilitate a “Food to Cafeteria” program in collaboration with the local school district.

The Going Green Foundation is the process of developing 2.5 acres of land into a fully sustainable organic Farm, which will provide the community, its schools, low-income families and seniors with healthy fresh foods. This project will be located in the City of Dearborn, Michigan but will have the capacity to services the following nearby communities: Inkster, Dearborn, (South West) Detroit, Romulus, Wayne and Ecorse. 

The Going Green Foundation (TGGF) – Founded in 2009 this organization was organized to support, raise awareness of and encourage eco- friendly and sustainability projects in our community and others in the areas of education and outreach, advocacy and public health while building and enhancing green economies and infrastructures. TGGF has demonstrated experience in the area of managing a small farm/garden, producing and distributing healthy foods to low income people in the surrounding community and a clear desire to share information with researchers, evaluators, practitioners, and other interest parties. The foundation has developed a strategic plan designed to impact our planet in a 'clean' way by supporting direct action, raising public awareness and nurturing grassroots initiatives meeting local needs. "The Going Green Foundation's vision is to support environmentally friendly projects, causes, entrepreneurs and activists worldwide.

Please support our efforts by purchasing a brick that will be personalized and engraved and help raise money for The Crowley Park Sustainable Organic Farm. The end result will be an everlasting tribute from you to our organization that will help us commemorate your contribution to our efforts. The pavers will be placed at the Entranceway of the Farm and along the paths between our raised beds that are available for the community at no cost.
