As many of you know, much work has been done to improve our beloved Lindale area.

There are special memories and respect for those who grew up there, fought in wars for us, worked in the mill or attended Pepperell Schools. 

A beautiful set of memorial plaques and two memorial benches have been placed in memory and honor of those who fought and gave lives during WWII, Korea and Vietnam wars and first responders.

Now we have been able to pave a portion of the memorial area with engraved bricks honoring those afore mentioned. We are now ready to go forward with phase 2 of the paved site. We are continuing to sell engraved bricks to add to the beauty of the tribute in place. We hope to one day extend it down the sidewalks on either side.

Please consider purchasing a brick or bricks for someone in your family, your friends, or yourself, to let future generations see the impact Pepperell and Lindale had on all of our lives. The Lindale Post of the American Legion is working in conjunction with others on this project.

You will be able to find suggestions on the “Bricks R Us” website along with instructions on how to donate. The cost of each brick is a donation of $50.00. This includes a 4x8 brick with three lines of information at 18 characters per line. This is plenty of room to include a name, branch of service or year you attended Pepperell School or worked in the mill. If room, you may choose a logo from those available at Bricks 'r Us for an additional $5.00.

Consider being a part of this historic project. We want to see Lindale, the people who have gone before us, those who served to protect our freedom, some at the cost of their own lives, their families, former and present students, teachers and anyone who had a part in this close, loving, safe town of ours. Let’s bring back and honor the Lindale we once knew and loved!
