Craven Community College
is excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for a
Veterans Memorial Park, which is to be located at our
Havelock-Cherry Point Campus.
Proceeds from this fundraiser is
for a veteran affiliated student scholarship fund that
can be used for curriculum or work force development
instruction.
Your support of our fundraiser
will not only build a much needed remembrance for our
military community, but also assist countless students
who are either completing their degree or gaining a much
needed certification.
The Veteran Memorial
Park will be a wonderful venue for active duty
personnel, veterans and family members to “Remembering
our Past, by Paving our Future” with a purchase of an
engraved brick.
There are a couple of choices
and prices for these engraved bricks.
This fundraiser has a dual
purpose.
First as mentioned previously,
to honor our military community; this is a wonderful
opportunity for you to honor a family member, a friend,
or a mentor.
Secondly, all proceeds will
create a much needed scholarship fund.
Our goal is a lofty one; but
with your help, we will succeed.
Our goal for this fundraiser is
$300,000 for our scholarship fund.
Your one time donation will not
only purchase a wonderful engraved brick that will honor
someone special to you, it will assist a countless
number of students attending your community college.
Our Honorary Chairperson
for this campaign is Major General Michael Sullivan USMC
(Ret).
MajGen Sullivan has been and
continues to be a magnificent spokesperson for the
college and a huge advocate for the veteran population.
I personally cannot thank MajGen
Sullivan enough for all that he has done both inside and
outside of the Marine Corps.
It is an honor to have him as
our Honorary Chairperson.
