March is National Reading Awareness Month and with libraries across the country struggling with funding, it’s a perfect time for brick fundraisers.
Library funding is not only needed to buy new books. Libraries now offer digital services, providing Internet connections to students and library patrons for research purposes. They also have expenses for other programs they offer and for information technology.
Bricks R Us has a long history of helping communities raise funds for projects, including library efforts. Our bricks are custom engraved with the name of donors. The engraved bricks serve as a lasting tribute to those who have made the effort successful.
There are no upfront fees and we can help you get started.
Get A Focus
Be specific with the goals of the campaign. Let donors know where the money raised will be spent. Come up with a slogan for your campaign that helps get the word out about the fundraiser. Make sure the slogan is short and gets to the point. Use humor or a play on words if possible for a better shot at getting noticed.
Gather your team and brainstorm possible slogans. Great slogans aren’t often created in a vacuum; they come from an exchange of ideas.
Once you have a slogan, promote it as much as you can, using social media, word of mouth and any other venue. Local newspapers often will include a free listing for fundraising efforts benefiting a public service. Churches and social organizations can also help spread the word throughout the community.
