Tucked away in the rolling
hills of south central Pennsylvania, Wildwood Lake Sanctuary
conveniently sits on the edge of suburbia and urban culture.
Unique in its location on the outskirts of Harrisburg, the
sanctuary is a haven for countless species of wildlife natural
to our area, some endangered.
There is no better place to bring the family for some quality
time or a location for you to commune with nature. Enjoy the
variety of walking and jogging trails that surround the lake.
Stroll along the boardwalks and breathe the fresh air as the sun
sparkles through the trees.
Bring your camera to capture the picture perfect opportunities.
Bird watchers find Wildwood to be a true haven to come and watch
our feathered friends as we’re situated in the natural migratory
path for more than 200 species. Wildwood even has bird blinds
(indoor and outdoor) to enjoy watching in peace and comfort.
With all of this, the Friends of Wildwood Lake Nature Center
invite
you
to help us in keeping this beautiful park for all to enjoy. The
boardwalks and trails need improving for better accessibility
when water levels rise, and to be available to those who are
physically challenged. Wildwood Lake is a wonderful place to
picnic and spend some quality family time, but the picnic areas
also need improvement. Our purpose is simple, we are here to
make sure this park continues to be a special place for everyone
to come and enjoy; but, we cannot do it without your help.
The Evergreen Trail is
designed 
to
be a memorial walkway to commemorate a special event in
someone’s life, honor a friend or family member, memorialize
someone special (even a four-legged friend), or show the world
that you promote a “green” environment. You can order anytime;
however, to guarantee that your brick will be installed for the
day of celebration, please place your order by June 1, 2007.
You are welcome to add a Wildwood Lake logo to your brick for an
additional $10.00. Businesses are welcome to add their own logo
as well for an additional $70.00 for set-up fee and engraving.
You will need to submit your logo in a “camera-ready” format
with your order.
