The Friendship Garden Path

The Friendship Garden Path is a new brick project at Resurrection that will allow you to personally establish a permanent link from the past and the present into the future. We are beginning a commemorative brick campaign that will allow you to display your message in the path that leads to the Resurrection Memorial Garden. The sidewalk that now leads to the Memorial Garden will be replaced with bricks which contain your permanent message for future generations to see.

Our Memorial Garden is a peaceful place for contemplation where parishioners can sit, pray, and visit with God. It is also a joyful place where the voices and footsteps of our children echo before and after many parish activities.

The Purpose of the Project
The immediate purpose of this project is to raise funds to pay off the long-term debt and thus ease the affect of the debt on the parish’s annual budgetTo accomplish this goal, we are offering engraved bricks to members and friends of Resurrection. This brick campaign provides you with an opportunity to memorialize an event in someone’s life, to honor a loved one, or to permanently honor someone who has entered God’s heavenly kingdom.

Whatever the reason, donating one or more bricks is a wonderful way to honor and recognize someone special in your life. There is a great interest in this project, and we anticipate that the bricks will sell quickly.

How You Can Help
You can help by donating a brick to the Friendship Garden Path project. For each type of brick you have two choices:

1. Provide an engraved brick – which will be installed in the Friendship Garden Path.
2. Provide an engraved brick, and receive a “Donor Brick.” With a Donor Brick, you receive an exact duplicate of your brick, and the option of a Donor Certificate of thanks. The duplicate brick has a felt back and a metal display stand – it can be displayed in your home or office, or perhaps be given as a gift to the person you have honored with the inscription.

Types of Bricks & Cost

*Donor Brick includes: An exact duplicate Engraved Brick (with felt backing & metal stand) with identical inscription as your donated brick for you to keep).

Text on Your Brick:
For a 4x8 brick, you may have three lines of text with 18 characters or spaces per line. For an 8x8 brick you may have six lines of text with 18 characters of spaces per line. With the 8x8 Corporate Brick, you may have your logo and 2-3 lines of text (depending on the size of the logo). Because the bricks will be used for the Friendship Garden Path sidewalk, the lettering will be engraved, and not painted, to better create a permanent memory.

How to Order
There are several ways to donate a brick. In all cases you can pay by check, electronic check, or by credit card.

1. You can place an order online by completing the form below.
2. Print out an order form (or pick one up at Resurrection), complete it and mail it to the address on the form.
3. You can phone in your order by calling 888-692-7425.

When Will They Be Placed?
We anticipate that the first order of bricks will be ordered so that they may be laid in place this summer. Then, additional orders will be placed in groups until the entire Friendship Garden Path is completed.

Please consider how you can honor and recognize a loved one with one or more bricks through this wonderful project. If you have any questions or need help, contact the Resurrection office at 407-788-3704, or email us at office@ResurrectionLongwood.org.
