The brotherhood of Phi
Kappa Psi has played a crucial role in the development of young
men as they cross into the next stages of life.
Phi Kappa Psi
has been there to provide and develop leadership, character,
moral guidance, loyalty, dedication, and hard work.
As you are all aware, the
Chapter House is the focal point of all Fraternity affairs.
Indeed one of Cal Kappa's greatest strengths has been its
off-campus Chapter House where brothers can congregate at all
times of day. Whether it be barbequing, study groups, social
events, or wiffle-ball in the parking lot, the Chapter House has
been the center of it all.
June 30, 2006 marked Cal
Kappa's last day at our old house. As of now, California Kappa
and its brothers have no place to call home. On-campus housing
is not possible since the current Greek row is slated for
demolition in the coming year. We have identified several
properties for sale that m
eet our criteria for a new house. The
brothers at Cal Kappa are ready to move forward with an offer;
however we lack sufficient funds for a down payment.
We at Cal Kappa have taken
it upon ourselves to generate $30,000 by April 2007. We are
making all brothers accountable for reaching our goals through
participation in various fundraisers. Our Brick Campaign is our
largest fundraiser. By meeting the minimum donation amount of
$150, your personal message will be engraved in the new
California Kappa Chapter House for future generations.
Phi Kappa Psi has shaped
thousands of lives, and will continue to prosper with your
support.
In order to succeed, we must all work together in our
efforts to obtain a new house—a true reflection of the respect
and honor which accompanies the name of Phi Kappa Psi.
Bricks will be placed at the entrance to the house in 4x4 and
4x8 sizes. Messages can be about you individually, your pledge
class, your chapter, or just about anything else you would like
to say. Minimum donation amounts are as follows:
4x8 Personalized Brick
(3 lines, 18 characters each) = $150.00
8x8 Personalized Brick
(6 lines, 18 characters each) = $200.00
Along with a personalized brick, you will receive an authentic
donor certificate and a picture of your brick at the new chapter
house.
