Dear MMHS alumni and MMHS community,
friends, and family members:
As you may have heard, public schools in
California are facing major financial challenges. Needless to
say, this includes Mira Mesa High School. Repeatedly individuals
and alumni have asked me what they can do to support their local
high school and alma mater.
The MMHS Foundation (MMHSF) has created a
way for alumni and community members to literally build a
pathway for all future Marauders. The MMHSF is sponsoring a
“Pave the way to our future brick by brick”. The MMHSF will be
selling bricks to pave a path from the entrance gate of the
stadium to the actual seating area in the stands. Proceeds will
be used to help with budget cuts for athletics equipment and
supplies for our teams and clubs. While I encourage you to
support your own child’s local school, I hope alumni members
will also consider giving back to your alma mater. I am sure
alumni members have fond memories of Mira Mesa High School and
will support the MMHSF’s efforts to ensure many more Marauders
enjoy the wonderful experiences that come with playing in the
band, on the athletic teams, or through club activities.
