Limestone Animal Rescue and Adoption Shelter, better known as LARAS' House, was born in April of 2008 when a few citizens banded together to do something about the problem of unwanted pets being dumped in our county. Through hard work and determination, we've raised some money, fostered some animals, found homes for over 200 dogs and cats and provided veterinary care for many more. We've gone through the proper channels and been designated as an official non-profit charitable organization by the State of Texas and the IRS.

Now we're ready for the next step: a real animal shelter of our own. Here's where you can help.

We have entered into this “Buy-A-Brick” campaign to raise funds to build offices, kennels, reception rooms and maybe even a dog park. The brick you buy will be prominently displayed in the new facility.

The bricks will come in two sizes.

4X8 inch bricks will cost $100. This includes the inscription of your choice, 3 lines with 18 characters per line. 8X8 inch square bricks will cost $200 and will have room for 6 lines with 18 characters per line.

For an additional $25 you can get a copy of your brick to keep in your home or office. That commemorative brick will come with felt backing and a display stand.
