The Little Rock Air Force Base Security
Police Association (AFSPA) Hercules Chapter established the John
T. Self Memorial Fund to aid the 314th Security Forces
Squadron’s aspirations of honoring Staff Sergeant John T. Self,
a fallen defender of “The Rock”, and advance the legacy of Air
Force Security Forces. – Defensor Fortis
Our goal is to construct the LITTLE
ROCK AIR FORCE BASE GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM MEMORIAL
This Monument will be displayed in the
confines of Little Rock Air Force Base's Heritage Park.

It will honor Airman from Little
Rock Air Force Base who have been killed fighting the Global
War on Terrorism.

SSgt John T. Self (314th Security
Forces Squadron) and SSgt Dustin W. Peters (314th Logistics
Readiness Squadron) will be the first two names added to the
memorial in honor of their sacrifice.

Additional plaques will be
maintained on the memorial in case of any other unfortunate
Airman who may be killed while fighting in the Global War on
Terrorism.
Dedication: Morning of 14 May 2008 - 1
year anniversary of John's Death.
Bricks will sell for $100.00 for a 4x8 inch brick. The brick
will have space for 3 lines, eighteen characters per line. All
bricks will be surrounding around the base of the monument.
