It all starts here:
Renewal, refresh, recharge, and in many cases, a profound
realization that Jesus Christ is, in fact, real. That, my
friends is what a Renewal Center does. It provides a spot for
the Holy Spirit to do what the Holy Spirit does, and with
profound results.
Over the years, many of
you have had extremely personal experiences at
retreats held
either at the Dominican Retreat Center or the present
Morningstar Renewal Center. The center has been the birthplace
of Women's Emmaus in 1978 and Men's Emmaus in 1985. Countless
numbers of men and women have changed their lives dramatically
as a result of those experiences. Both Women's and Men's Emmaus
movements have expanded throughout the United States and South
America bringing many Catholics and non Catholics alike to a
deeper and in some cases first time relationship with Jesus
Christ.
Three years ago, the
Center was purchased from the Dominican Sisters by the
Archdiocese of Miami and placed under the watchful eye of St.
Louis Catholic Church. The center was brought up to speed and
today struggles to accommodate the load of events, retreats, and
other booking demands placed upon it by all the Community, not
just that of the Archdiocese of Miami. Presently, the center is
undergoing a minor facelift, with upgrades being performed to
the dormitories, the dining area, and the Chapel. In the
future, we hope to build a major new facility that will be the
shining Morning Star in the Archdiocese.
Now is your chance to be
a permanent part of the Center by purchasing a brick.
Basically, the engraved bricks will be placed in the ground
according to when they are purchased. There are three ways to
purchase a brick:
A. The bricks are $250
each if paid upfront.
B. The bricks can be
purchased over 10 monthly payments of $30 and put on your credit
card.
C. The bricks can be
purchased in groups of 6 for $1000, giving you two free bricks.
We can take your MC,
Visa, Amex, Discover, Check or Cash.
A Donor form link is
provided for you to fill out on line as well as the ability to
give us your payment information. Credit cards will be
processed by the Archdiocese of Miami and all purchases are
fully tax deductible.
God Bless You All, and
lets have all 31,500 bricks engraved so all those who come
behind us will know we cared.
