The
Birth Center of Gainesville is the oldest birth center on the
east coast of the United States and
is
proud to have been “Delivering Florida’s Pride and Joy for over
25 years.” We operated as a part of the Florida School of
Traditional Midwifery. Our midwives are experts in caring for
healthy pregnant women and have a longstanding record of
providing high-quality, safe maternity care while helping to
grow healthy families and build our community. More than 1,900
babies have been delivered through the Birth Center of
Gainesville. The Birth Center of Gainesville is a non-profit
501(c)(3) organization located in th
e fully
renovated Howard-Kelley House in the historic district to the
east of downtown Gainesville. The House is surrounded by a
wrap-around porch, ample parking, lush gardens, lawn and gazebo.
Gifts to the Birth Center of Gainesville and the Florida School
of Traditional Midwifery ensure our long-term success, and leave
a lasting legacy in the Greater Gainesville Community. Your
gift will be recognized in perpetuity through these bricks as
they create a serene walkway from the main house to our gazebo.
