It's not often that you get to put your name on a piece of history...

 

As a player, spectator or supporter of the game, you have just such an opportunity now.

 

AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) Region 1557 was established in this area in 2006. We had our first season the spring of 2007. Since that time, many young people in this area have had the opportunity to grow and develop many skills that will stay with them throughout their lives.

 

Our goal is for every child who wishes to play soccer to provide world-class quality youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

 

Our vision began shortly after our first season. With much hard work and dedication, we were able to obtain a lease on 26 acres in Barr Township. The site for our new fields at one time was a mine refuse pile. The odor of sulfur permeated the area. The land was reclaimed with all the mine refuse being removed. Phase 1 of the project for us meant bringing in hundreds of tons of topsoil, excavating to level the land, and planting grass. Phase 2 of our project involves planting trees and building a concession stand.

 

All bricks purchased will be displayed at our new fields. The brick you buy will allow you to be part of building the soccer complex. This Brick Campaign will lay the foundation for years and years of exciting competition for youth and adults in the Northern Cambria area. The community's ongoing support of our young people is outstanding.
