We, at First Presbyterian Church of Highland, have a great opportunity to beautify our garden, memorialize loved ones and raise funds for church projects and mission opportunities when we replace our garden pathway this spring.  We will replace the bricks in our garden pathway with new professionally engraved bricks.  Bricks are offered in two sizes and orders will be accepted through March 31, 2007. 

To accomplish this project, we plan to sell bricks to members and friends of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland.  We already have tremendous interest in this project and expect the bricks will sell quickly.  You can purchase any quantity desired.  If you know of someone interested in purchasing a brick(s) for our garden pathway, please send their name and contact information to the church.  We mail an order form along with this information to anyone expressing interest. 

You can purchase a plain or an engraved brick.  When you contribute $500 or more you can select a location otherwise bricks will be located at random in the pathway.  In the future, you can buy an engraved brick to replace a plain brick either holding your spot or a filler brick.  Bricks sell for the following: 

1. An engraved 4” x 8” brick is $50 each – three lines , 18 characters per line
2. An engraved 8” x 8” brick is $100 each – six lines, 18 characters per line
3. Plain 4” x 8” bricks to be used as fillers will sell for $5 each (this will help off-set the cost of filler bricks)

Reservations can be used to hold space for expected births, baptisms, marriages, etc.  This will allow you to keep family units together if you wish.   The engraved bricks can then be ordered later to replace the filler holding your space. 

1. If you wish to purchase a plain 4” x 8” brick to be later replaced with an engraved brick we will reserve that spot for one year for $20
2. If you wish to purchase two plain 4” x 8” bricks to be later replaced with an engraved brick we will reserve that spot for one year for $30

There are several ways to purchase your brick(s).  You can use this link from our website at www.fpchighland.org and place your order electronically.  There will be a nominal charge of $2.00 to be added to your order if you use an electronic check.  You can purchase bricks after worship service or you can simply request and fill out an order form and return the form to the church office along with your payment.  We accept personal checks, money orders, cashier’s checks or cash.  Our goal is to sell 1200 bricks!

You can select the message to be engraved on your brick.  You can engrave the name of a loved one, special person or your family name, memorialize a special event or record a scripture message.  The engraving will be filled with black epoxy for easy reading and for long lasting durability.  The FPCH reserves the right to approve all engraved messages. 

Help us raise funds, build a new garden pathway, memorialize family and friends or sponsor a spiritual message for all to enjoy.  Tell your friends and family about this great project benefiting our good works!  Buy a brick for each family member!  Buy a brick as a gift!  Buy a brick to record your favorite scripture passage or expression!
